THE YEAR 2015
Time passed very quickly this year! 2015 has been a very eventful one too.
Although the year started a little slow, it picked up great
momentum since April with good regular sales and one commission after another
throughout the year!
Commissions are great!
It’s a sure way of keeping busy with work and steady income. But most of all I like commissions because
the paintings I create for my clients are so diverse! From abstract to realistic to modern art to
flowers and country scenes. I paint all
kinds of subjects without compromising on style and technique. It is exactly for my style and technique
that I get to do so many commissions.
My great love is still the “City Life” series and definitely
a favourite of a lot of my collectors.
Also, my colourful landscapes with the beautiful deep
colours and stormy skies, is another subject that I love creating! Landscapes from the heart! I get inspired by the wonderful colours I
use, spread thickly straight from the tube.
The exhibitions this year have been wonderful and profitable
for a change! Am very grateful to have
had the opportunity to show my work in different circles of art lovers and
collectors. I made a lot of new contacts
with hopefully many future sales!
In December I had to pack my studio and took a long break to
spend time with my family over the festive season. It is always a good thing to take a break from
painting as it gives me a chance to rejuvenate my creative thoughts and come up
with new ideas and concepts to start my
new year afresh!
Also, some of my paintings that where overseas for an
exhibition have now been repatriated and are available from my studio.
