Peace Descending, oil painting

Everywhere in the World a question is asked of ordinary people-"what do you wish for" and be sure the reply is always- "Peace in the World".
But all we get is more wars and violence in whichever way we look on this Earth.
The white light reflecting on the City is symbolic to peace and tranquilty that it’s inhabitance wish for and the Dove descending from above is the spiritual intervention that all humanity is hoping for.
The lighthouse on the right bottom side is another symbol of hope.

City Life series of paintings

The latest body of work am creating, is the exploration of over populated high rise living in a big city environment. The expectations of busy urbanites and their life’s aspirations, the upright climb of the social ladder or staircase to the lit door, sometimes someone waiting to receive them or trying to reach the top of the ladder through what would be a difficult journey to ultimate success in ones life.
Happy people, sad and lonely all have dreams and goals to realize in their life. The abstraction of the build up city is relevant to the abstract energy incurred by mass living environment.

Marketing tips for art sales

I have been asked by my art club to give a few tips to our members on 'selling art' in our Feb meeting after our A.G.M. Due to the fact that I have been very successful in selling my art they would like to know what I do differently!  I have a lot of information from marketing books and art related magazines. I have to put together a speach to last an hour.
